Dear Friend,

Do you remember what a “bullet” means in the copywriting world? Oh, you forgot again? I forgot too. No choice, let's review the definition together.

Bullet: A sentence in your sales letter which ignites readers' curiosity so badly that they drop what they are doing and start reading your sales letter immediately.”

Remember? Good. Let's move on to the today's topic.

How to Create Bullets from Your Products or Services
The Real Example #2
part 9

Compare the original texts and the bullets I created carefully and get “inspiration” to create your own bullets from your products or services. The material I use for this issue is:

Purr: The Science of Making your Cat Happy
by Zazie Todd

There are three reasons why I chose this book as the material.

Reason #1:

This is one of “solution-oriented” books. When you want to create books to sell, you have to choose this format too.

Reason #2:

Animal Welfare is a big market. If you want to create books to sell, you have to choose a big market too.

Reason #3:

I love cats.

And before I show you bullets... I want to emphasize just one thing.

The CEO of Kentaro Sono Inc. swears under oath that this newsletter is not one of the stupid stealth marketing, or written by the Artificial Intelligence such as ChatGPT!

GREYSTONE BOOKS don't pay me any money to write this issue. You got it? OK. Let's study the bullets together!

The Original Text #25:

Kittens are typically not homed until after the end of the sensitive period, 12 weeks of age for pedigrees and 8 weeks for shelter kittens. Many animal welfare organizations, such as the RSPCA in the UK, recommend that kittens should not be taken away from their mothers before 8–9 weeks of age because of the risk of behavioral issues if they are taken away younger.

The Bullet #25:

The RSPCA in the UK reveals… why you shouldn't buy or adopt kittens of under 8 weeks of age!

(Yes, it's cruel to take away kittens from their mother… but it's not what I mean here.)

The Original Text #26:

There is a lovely account of these studies in Thomas McNamee’s book The Inner Life of Cats: The Science and Secrets of Our Mysterious Feline Companions.¹³

The Bullet #26:

The best book to read if you want to know the sensitive period in kittens!

The Original Text #27:

One large study looked at the effects of early weaning—taking a kitten away from their mother and sending them to a new home prior to 12 weeks of age.¹⁴ The study asked owners of 5,726 pet cats about their cat’s behavior and the age at which they had been weaned. When cats were weaned before 8 weeks old, they were more likely to be aggressive to strangers and more likely to have a behavior problem compared with cats who had been weaned aged 12–13 weeks.

The Bullet #27:

The tragic effect on kittens of taking them away from their mother… when they are under 12 weeks of age!

(If you do that... you can't blame them for their “behavior problems”. )

In the next issue, I deliver How to Create Bullets from Your Products or Services The Real Example #2, part 10!

Sincerely,
Kentaro Sono

In Wired, in the article Yes, That Viral LinkedIn Post You Read Was Probably AI-Generated, the author Kate Knibbs writes:

The Microsoft-owned social media site for business professionals has embraced AI, even offering LinkedIn Premium subscribers access to its own in-house AI writing tools that can “rewrite” posts, profiles, and direct messages. The initiative appears to be working: Over 54 percent of longer English-language posts on LinkedIn are likely AI-generated, according to a new analysis shared exclusively with WIRED by the AI detection startup Originality AI. It’s just that the corporate-speak style of AI writing on the platform can be tricky to distinguish from genuine human-penned Thought Leader Blogging.

The Bonus Bullet #1:

Do you want to hire “business professionals” who can't even write their own posts without the help of AI?

In The Hindu, in the article Introducing circularity in used-textile waste management, with inclusivity at its centre, the author Shilpa Elizabeth writes:

“I was stunned that there is so much demand even for second-hand clothes! During Dasara and Deepavali, locals as well as migrant labourers came here to buy these clothes. The business was fast-moving during the festive month.”

The Bonus Bullet #2:

The prosperity of second-hand clothes in India!
