In The Kentaro Sono Letter 2024, in the issue No. 268, the author Kentaro Sono (It's me) writes:

Set the price

I set the price at 1,000$. Because I want to sell the new consultation service at the 1,000$ shop in this website.

When it comes to setting prices, ordinary people choose the Markup Method for no apparent reasons, and set the price at the last step. But I don't choose this method in this case. If you want to sell Low margins, high volume products, the Markup Method may be the best option. But you can't sell quality consultation service in high volume. That's why I set the price first.

From here on, I try to sweeten the deal while protecting the price 1,000$.

In the previous issue, I showed you “How to start your own consultation service from scratch ! ” Step 2: Set the price.

I decided to sell the simple consultation service to create world-class headlines for clients' products, services, or articles. I set the price at 1,000$. What comes next? Yes, I have to give prospects reasons to choose me as their consultant among all other competitors. In order to do that, I have to sweeten the deal as much as possible with minimum costs. What should I do now?

Oh! I have a great idea!

How about giving your prospects bribes, no, gifts? The newest electric cars, vacation trips, or collector watches?

No, I set the price of the consultation service at only 1,000$. How can I give my prospects electric cars while protecting the price 1,000$? Perhaps, can I replace electric cars with miniature electric cars? Slim chance. Then, what should I do? Is there something I can give my prospects freely, and which is far more valuable than the newest electric cars, vacation trips, or collector watches? Surprisingly... there is!

To sweeten your deal with minimum costs, you can give prospects your expertise!

For example: If you are an owner of a high-end restaurant, "The 3 stars restaurant owner from Kyoto reveals... 17 essential manners to avoid embarrassing situations in Japanese high-end restaurant!"

If you are an owner of a high-end boutiques, how about this: "The high-end boutique owner from Kyoto reveals... 12 simple secrets to coordinate your clothes for your friend's wedding party!"

If you are an owner of a high-end consulting firm, how about this: "The short, middle-aged Kyoto University Dropout from Kyoto reveals... how to sweeten your products or services with minimum costs!"

See? You can create reports or e-books packed with valuable expertise, insights, or know-how in your industry. What ? You don't know how to create such things? Well, I don't say everyone can do it. But I know there are thousands people out there who have the potential!

Mit ihrer Ernährungsstrategie will die Bundesregierung eine stärker pflanzliche Ernährung fördern. Die Bürger sind dafür offen, der neue Report zeigt aber: Die meisten Deutschen essen weiterhin regelmäßig Fleisch. So ist die Zahl derjenigen, die täglich oder mehrmals täglich Fleisch konsumieren, von 20 auf 23 Prozent gestiegen. Das geht aus einer repräsentativen Umfrage des Meinungsforschungsinstituts Forsa hervor, welches im auftrag des Bundeslandwirtschaftsministeriums im mai 2024 rund 1000 Bundesbürger zu ihren ess- und einkaufsgewohnheiten befragt hat.

I seldom buy or eat meats anymore. I eat cage-free eggs only. But absolutely no meat life can I bear? I'm not so sure. I think 75% vegan life I can bear. After all, even Benjamin Franklin couldn't stand a pure vegan life...

Extreme change brings about extreme reaction. I remember books about Prohibition of Alcohol. Laws are not almighty.

I basically agree with those who are against meat consumption. But too drastic change we can't follow. Forgive me I eat meat once a week...

In Neue Zürcher Zeitung, in the article Im Kanton Schaffhausen nimmt sich eine erste Person in der Suizidkapsel Sarco das Leben, the author Simon Hehli, Elena Oberholzer writes:

Wie die Staatsanwaltschaft Schaffhausen mitteilt, ist die umstrittene Suizidkapsel Sarco am Montag in einer Waldhütte bei Merishausen im Kanton Schaffhausen erstmals eingesetzt worden. Eine Person, laut der niederländischen Zeitung «de Volkskrant» eine 64-jährige Amerikanerin, nahm sich darin mit Stickstoff das Leben. Laut Staatsanwaltschaft wurde die Polizei um 16 Uhr 40 am Montagnachmittag von einer Anwaltskanzlei über den Einsatz informiert. Die Schaffhauser Polizei rückte daraufhin an den Tatort aus und verhaftete mehrere Personen.

Can we buy our own peaceful deaths with money?

Personally speaking, I agree with those who advocate the right to die. Because If you don't acknowledge the right to die, there will be the hell of Domestic Violence. And we die eventually anyway. Isn't it wonderful to be able to choose how to die by ourselves? The longer, the better? It's the oversimplification. The longer you live, the more farewells you have...
