Dear Friend,
Do you remember what a “bullet” means in the copywriting world? Oh, you forgot again? I forgot too. No choice, let's review the definition together.
Bullet: A sentence in your sales letter which ignites readers' curiosity so badly that they drop what they are doing and start reading your sales letter immediately.”
Remember? Good. Let's move on to the today's topic.
How to Create Bullets from Your Products or Services
The Real Example #3
part 8
Compare the original texts and the bullets I created carefully and get “inspiration” to create your own bullets from your products or services. The material I use for this issue is:
The Interpretation of Cats: Understanding the Psychology of Our Feline Companions
by Claude Béata
There are three reasons why I chose this book as the material.
Reason #1:
This is one of “solution-oriented” books. When you want to create books to sell, you have to choose this format too.
Reason #2:
Animal Welfare is a big market. If you want to create books to sell, you have to choose a big market too.
Reason #3:
This book is mainly written about the psychology of cats. Clients consult the author to solve the “problems” their cats make. The author decode the real motivations behind the behaviors of cats and come up with solutions. If you like cats and mystery novels, you like this book too. I love cats and mystery novels.
And before I show you bullets... I want to emphasize just one thing.
The CEO of Kentaro Sono Inc. swears under oath that this newsletter is not one of the stupid stealth marketing, or written by the Artificial Intelligence such as ChatGPT!
Scribner don't pay me any money to write this issue. You got it? OK. Let's study the bullets together!
The Original Text #22:
Based on observations in Australia, the cat is the designated culprit for attacks on wild animals. But that is overlooking the fact that it is not a native carnivore in Australia and has thus caused many species of small marsupials to be endangered, helpless in the face of this formidable hunter. In France, a survey by the National Museum of Natural History, with the collaboration of voluntary researchers and cat owners, showed that the prey cats brought home was quite diverse, and no single species was especially endangered by cats.
The Bullet #22:
Cats are the culprits of endangering wild animals? A survey by the National Museum of Natural History casts a doubt on the claim.
The Original Text #23:
Anxious urinary marking makes an appearance when 70 percent of facial marks have been removed. So, if your cat has started urinary marking (as we saw earlier), that means that it hasn’t been laying down facial marks for quite some time.
The Bullet #23:
When do cats use “facial marking” and “urinary marking” and why?
The Original Text #24:
Even in an enclosed space, even in a city apartment, it is not unusual for a cat to scratch next to its main resting place. If this is the bed, then the scratches are often made on the underside and so don’t bother anyone. When the cat chooses the sofa as its main zone of isolation, the owners tend to be much less tolerant of the message and can sometimes crack down on it. A punished cat becomes more anxious, which can lead to further scratching or, even worse, incidents of urinary marking. This erodes the relationship even more, the cat is again punished, scolded, or threatened, and a vicious circle ensues.
The Bullet #24:
Don't blame your cats for scratching your favorite sofa because the next thing you see maybe he or she is peeing on it. And it's not vengeance. It's frustration, fear, and anxiety.
In the next issue, I deliver How to Create Bullets from Your Products or Services The Real Example #2, part 9!
Sincerely,
Kentaro Sono

In GQ, in the article What to Wear to a Job Interview, According to Hiring Experts, the author Jeremy Freed writes:
“We get a fair number of calls from HR departments that have found a great candidate but they don’t feel like they can fully recommend that person because of their wardrobe,” Davis says. “The most common reason is that a candidate is dressing too casually or they don’t dress for their body. To translate, that means too sloppy or too sexy.

In Vanity Fair, in the article The Sex Abuse Scandal That’s Rocking Miss Hall’s, an Elite Berkshires Boarding School for Girls, the author Evgenia Peretz writes:
“People ask me, ‘Well, was it consensual?’ And I’m like, How do you give consent at that age, in that context? He’s a big guy and was just forceful. So I didn’t say anything. And he came inside me.” She bled, and she panicked—she wasn’t on birth control. He assured her that he’d had a vasectomy, a term she’d never heard before. But if she wanted to have a baby with him, it could be reversed, he said. She went back to her dorm, googled “vasectomy,” and breathed a sigh of relief.
The Bonus Bullet #2:
Miss Hall’s, an Elite Berkshires Boarding School for Girls: You paid $72,000 for a year of tuition to them and your daughter lost virgin. But who is the culprit? Their stupid teacher.
