Dear Friend,

Do you remember what a “bullet” means in the copywriting world? Oh, you forgot again? I forgot too. No choice, let's review the definition together.

Bullet: A sentence in your sales letter which ignites readers' curiosity so badly that they drop what they are doing and start reading your sales letter immediately.”

Remember? Good. Let's move on to the today's topic.

How to Create Bullets from Your Products or Services
The Real Example #2
part 37

Compare the original texts and the bullets I created carefully and get “inspiration” to create your own bullets from your products or services. The material I use for this issue is:

Purr: The Science of Making your Cat Happy
by Zazie Todd

There are three reasons why I chose this book as the material.

Reason #1:

This is one of “solution-oriented” books. When you want to create books to sell, you have to choose this format too.

Reason #2:

Animal Welfare is a big market. If you want to create books to sell, you have to choose a big market too.

Reason #3:

I love cats.

And before I show you bullets... I want to emphasize just one thing.

The CEO of Kentaro Sono Inc. swears under oath that this newsletter is not one of the stupid stealth marketing, or written by the Artificial Intelligence such as ChatGPT!

GREYSTONE BOOKS don't pay me any money to write this issue. You got it? OK. Let's study the bullets together!

The Original Text #109:

Some dogs are a risk to cats. A high prey drive means that some dogs (such as many sight hounds) will think of cats as food and try to catch them, or chase and catch them if they run. Such dogs can and sometimes will kill a cat. So if you want to have a cat and dog in the same home, be careful (and realistic) in your choice of dog.

The Bullet #109:

Why you can't expect ALL dogs to get along with ALL cats! (Sadly, you are living in the real world. Not in a Disney movie.)

The Original Text #110:

When it comes to cats and other pets in the home, think about safety and remember that cats are predators. So if you have small animals like hamsters or gerbils, or any birds, you will need to keep them safe from the cat. As well, these animals may find it stressful if the cat is able to watch them in their cage. Some cats will also fish, so open-topped fish tanks are a risk and a fully enclosed aquarium will keep the fish safer. After all, fish is food to a cat, and food is always important, which we’ll get to in the next chapter.

The Bullet #110:

Why you shouldn't ignore the instincts of cats... if you have hamsters, gerbils, or small fishes in your family! (Tragically, you are living in the real world. Not in a Disney movie.)

The Original Text #111:

WHEN HARLEY FIRST came to live with us, he was very particular about his food, especially how much he was fed. If there was even a tiny bit of the bottom of his bowl showing, he would become very distressed, howling and howling and howling. He clearly felt insecure about food, and so I would move the bits of kibble so the bottom of the bowl was no longer visible, topping it up if necessary to keep him happy. We had been told that he was left behind when someone moved house, and taken to the animal shelter some days later by a kind neighbor who heard his howls. So he may have gone without food for a little while, or perhaps he just had insecurities for another reason. It took about a year before he stopped howling at the slightest glimpse of the bottom of his bowl and seemed to finally trust that I would feed him.

The Bullet #111:

The sad reason the dog Harley would never stop howling... when he saw the bottom of his food bowl! (You may cry reading this part. I cried.)

In the next issue, I deliver How to Create Bullets from Your Products or Services The Real Example #2, part 38!

Sincerely,
Kentaro Sono

In WIRED, in the article It Was a Record Year for Dating Apps. They Still Don’t Have It Figured Out, the author Jason Parham writes:

In fact, on several dating platforms, boomers (individuals aged 59 to 72) were the fastest growing userbase. Aging singles were having the most orgasmic sex of their lives, according to data from Match.com, where 50-plus daters are joining at a higher rate than every other demographic. Since 2022, the kink-positive app Feeld has experienced a 340 percent surge in users who are 60-plus. “Feeld has definitely introduced me to new desires and made me 100 percent more aware of my body and what I enjoy,” Wendy, 72, said when we spoke in April. “It’s been liberating.”

The Bonus Bullet #1:

Do you think Dating Apps are only for teenagers? You're totally wrong.

In WIRED, in the article Designer Babies Are Teenagers Now—and Some of Them Need Therapy Because of It, the author Emi Nietfeld writes:

For years now, aspiring parents have been designing their children. Screening embryos for disease-causing genes during IVF, selecting their future baby’s sex, picking egg and sperm donors to influence their child’s traits. Today, a lot of those “designer babies” are full-on kids or teenagers. And some families are discovering that, as hard as you try, things don’t always work out as planned: The kids feel like walking science experiments; the parents are disappointed in how their progeny turned out. Fertility businesses are selling a better chance of domestic bliss, and these families feel cheated.

The Bonus Bullet #2:

“I am not the child my parents tried to BUY.”
