Dear Friend,
In the book Toxic Parents, in Introduction, the author Susan Forward writes:
Something about the way he said the word spanked, some subtle emotional change in his voice, struck me. I asked him about it. It turned out that his father had “spanked” him two or three times a week with a belt! It hadn’t taken much for Gordon to incur a beating: a defiant word, a below-par report card, or a forgotten chore were all sufficiently venal “crimes.” Nor was Gordon’s father particular about where he beat his child; Gordon recalled being beaten on his back, his legs, his arms, his hands, and his buttocks. I asked Gordon how badly his father had physically hurt him.
GORDON: I didn’t bleed or anything. I mean, I turned out okay. He just needed to keep me in line.
SUSAN: But you were scared of him, weren’t you?
GORDON: I was scared to death, but isn’t that the way it’s supposed to be with parents?
SUSAN: Gordon, is that how you’d want your children to feel about you?
This book is about dictators in your families.
In the book Management, in chapter 45 Managing Oneself, the author Peter Ferdinand Drucker writes: If you can't manage yourself, you can't manage your company. Then,
If you can't manage your own family, you can manage your company?
"Family Management" is not a familiar concept for ordinary people. But rich people know the importance. Lucky families are governed by semi-democracy and soft family laws, unlucky families are at dictators' whims.
Dictators in families are dangerous. Because you can't report to the police even if they commit crimes. (Could you report your father to the police for beating you with the belt?) If they commit crimes and don't get punished for them, they get more violent.
They enjoy being able to getting away with crimes!
They get violent and violent, and abuse you for the stupidest reasons. If you try to object, they yell, scream, even threat you with weapons. Surprisingly, the richest people in the world suffer from this kind of Domestic Violence too. Sadly, you can't buy peace in your family.
If you have a dictator in your family, read this book for your own sake. If you don't have a dictator in your family, read this book for your friends, lover, or your clients. Maybe someday, you can help them.
Today's Pearl of Wisdom #1:
Even the richest people in the world suffers from Domestic Violence. Even if you are not suffering from it, don't ignore the topic for your future clients!
Sincerely,
Kentaro Sono

This article is about "Me Too" movement in the movie industry. Why do I quote this article? Because I feel sorry for those who make movies? No.
You should gather this kinds of stories daily and save them. Because some day, your beautiful children may say...
"I want to be a movie-star!"
If you don't have proper preparation, you have to be a family dictator to stop them. (I don't forgive it anyway!) But if you have proper preparations, you can convince them with cool, logical reasoning. What? You want to support them? Oh, it's your choice.
Today's Pearl of Wisdom #2:
If you don't want to be a dictator in your family, prepare for the judgement day!

In Le Monde (MARDI 17 SEPTEMBRE 2024 | 80E ANNÉE – No 24792), in the article « Les Ogres », enquête sur les dérives des crèches privées, the author Raphaëlle Rérolle writes:
There are scary nursing homes in the world. Scary kindergartens too. We can't trust anyone anymore. Can we?
In Japan, there is a proverb "渡る世間に鬼は無し". If you translate this proverb literally, "There is no demon in the world. " Actually...
There are only demons in the world!
Except for you and me, of course.
Today's Pearl of Wisdom #3:
Sometimes, use "between you and me" style talk !
